B2 Episode 2
B2 Episode 2. When a sharp-eyed overnight maintenance technician in a Manhattan apartment tower begins receiving AirDrops from himself 26 minutes in the…
Nico Reyes notices things other people miss. Working the overnight maintenance shift at Riverview, an Upper Manhattan residential tower, his job is normally predictable: broken locks, tenant complaints, elevators, access logs. Until his phone receives an AirDrop. The sender is NICO REYES. The photograph shows the exact hallway where he is standing—but 26 minutes in the future. Apartment 1408 is open even though it is currently closed, and the service elevator display reads B2. There is one problem: Riverview doesn’t have a B2. With Maya Chen, the building’s night operator, watching through security cameras and monitoring Riverview’s systems, Nico begins testing the impossible messages rather than blindly trusting them. Soon, the phenomenon spreads beyond his phone. Access systems, cameras, elevators and other building infrastructure begin receiving information from the same 26-minute-ahead future. But B2 isn’t supernatural. Hidden beneath Riverview is the remains of Project Latency, a communications experiment built around an extraordinary discovery: information can be transmitted backward through time. Matter cannot. That distinction becomes the central rule—and the trap. Every warning from the future gives Nico an opportunity to change what happens next. But every action he takes because of those warnings may also be responsible for creating the future that sent them. And somewhere ahead of him is another Nico—Nico +91—who has already lived through the consequences. Across roughly 33 short-form episodes, Nico and Maya descend from investigating a malfunctioning apartment door into a causal mystery buried beneath their building, where the question is no longer simply whether they can change the future. It’s whether the future has been guiding them there all along.
